Dear authors,

The mission of the «Point of view. East-West» is to publish papers devoted to the latest achievements in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, as well as relevant pathogenesis research, all of which will have a professional and educational value for ophthalmologists. It is also our aim to ensure the highest quality of the published scientific materials.

The Journal policy is to publish a wide range of articles focusing on the results of basic and clinical research and clinically significant laboratory research; literature reviews related to ophthalmology; as well as representative clinical cases and information about research events in this field.

The Journal accepts articles of regional, national and international scope in all thematic areas of ophthalmology, including articles on the interaction of ophthalmology with other branches of medicine and a wide range of fundamental disciplines, including biochemistry, pathological physiology, electrophysiology, immunology, eye biomechanics, cytology, molecular genetic research and other areas. Articles are accepted from specialists and experts in the field, as well as graduate students and postdoctoral researchers from Russia and abroad. The editorial board of the Journal includes prominent scientists from Russia and other countries.

The Journal has both printed and electronic version. The «Point of view. East-West» provides direct open access to its content, based on the following concept: free open access to scientific research contributes to the global exchange of knowledge.

This policy is based on DOAJ's open access guidelines.

The Journal implements an independent system of expert evaluation of articles. The editorial staff adhere to the highest standards of publishing ethics. All manuscripts are edited, reviewed and published free of charge.

The «Point of view. East-West» publishes manuscripts that comply with international standards of publishing ethics in biomedical journals and is guided by the principles of the following national and international committees and associations:
