Prof. Mukharram Bikbov, Director of Ufa Eye Research Institute, and Dr. Emin Usubov, Head of the Cornea and Lens Surgery Department, attended the 58th National Congress of the Turkish Ophthalmological Association (TOA), which was held in Antalya (Turkey) on 21-24 November, 2024.
The scientific festival brough together more than 2500 experts in the field of ophthalmology and optometry from around the world.  Over 30 ophthalmic equipment companies showcased their state-of-the-art devices and tools that enable accurate diagnosis, effective treatment and enhanced vision correction options. 
445 speakers from Turkey and abroad delivered their talks on most urgent and crucial ophthalmological issues, presented the results of clinical and experimental studies and addressed most common eye problems.

An important aspect of such scientific forums is the initiation of new international research projects. During the event, the Institute officals held meetings with Prof. Huban Atilla, President of the Turkish Ophthalmological Association (TOA) and Prof. Oner Gelisken, President of the Turkish Republics Ophthalmology Society (TROS). Agreements were reached on further mutual cooperation between Bashkir and Turkish researchers and practitioners in the field of ophthalmology.
